Well,
the first year of The Ad Club is officially over. We'll be back in September
with more photo-shoots, meetings, victory dinners, and more. The beginning of
The Ad Club was a little rocky for me (The Ad Club president) holding two big
plastic bags with wardrobe for my first ever photo-shoot. The first two meetings
were quite odd and different having my first member quit right on the spot and
the second member not be able to attend. My favorite part of my first
photo-shoot was going around the cafeteria with first member Deannelys
Corcino Cruz
to find models for The "RubberBand&Co." photo-shoot. We got tons of
positive reactions even though we didn't get the most feedback. This was only
the beginning of The Ad Club we then had our second photo-shoot named
"Junkie.co" at the Chelsea Piers Golf club with my new and improved 6 members.
My first reactions of the photo-shoots was bundles of fun and complications, but
this didn't mean I was ready to quit. After that, photo-shoots and ad club
meetings were increasing in success due to people committing to The Ad Club and
to me. Photo-shoots became more organized after I got my first assistant who
worked with me for the PsB photo-shoot and the P.W.A.P projects. After receiving
bulks of new applications I felt more ensured in The Ad Club's status. Some of
my favorite moments was setting up at The school club fair which promoted all
clubs to get more members. I bought munchkins and The Ad Club caterer made lemon
squares and chocolate chip cookies and it was hilarious because at first many
people came over because they saw the food. Then my volunteer Sephira
Bryant
came up with the idea hide the food and once someone has signed up they get a
free munchkin and food product. Being the Ad Club president I have met many
people that I never imagined I would meet or discuss business with, and I have
learned lessons from many teachers and students about my club and due to my
club.
Cant
wait until next year!
Sincerely
Jamorra
